The Statement On Bailuzhou Academy's Events

This dissertation collects all the material about Bailuzhou Academy that the auther can find and compiles the material in the form of "statement,document and textual research", mainly the Academy's evolution events. The Academy was built in Southern Song Dynasty by Jiang Wanli, the highest official of Ji'an in 1241 on Bailu Island. After Wen Tianxiang who had studied in the Academy took the first place in the imperial examination,Emperor Lizong granted a horizontal inscribed board of "Bailuzhou Academy".From then on, Bailuzhou Academy was outstanding and became one of "The Three Great Academies" in Jiangxi. Since it was supported by many local officials in every dynasty ,the Academy developed well till the end of Qing Dynasty.In 1905,the Academy was changed into the new kind of school.This dissertation focuses on the influence that the Academy had on Ji'an region and especially the relation between the Academy and Lulin Culture .This dissertation argues that Bailuzhou Academy had become the educational base the academic exchange center and the cradle of talent cultivating in Ji'an region since it's establishment.The Academy was built in the background of Lulin Culture which advocated "morals and knowledge" ,and meanwhile it promoted the Lulin Culture's development and carried on the Lulin Culrure's pith-morals knowledge and integrity.
