China has long attached emphasis on the juvenile morale and intellectual education since the founding of the nation and has made great achievements "morality and life" course came into being in elementary school after the convocation of the 11th people's congress, which was of important significance, this course has made good results in the designing of content and teaching practice. We should, however, aware of the problems in the effectiveness in the course "morality and personality". Although schools have made reforms in this course and gain some improvements, the problems have not been solved completely.Reforms in morality education course has been carried out in elementary school in order to bring the course closer to children's life so as to promote its effectiveness and to avoid the overlapping and repetition of the current course to suit the children's needs. The course "morality and life" in junior year is a trial of this re form.This paper is devoted to the trial research of "morality and life" course in four parts. In the first part, it introduces "morality and personality" course was developed "morality and lifeit" course. And reviewed teaching of the course. It analyses the national documents on moral education so to get a well understanding of the teaching purpose. It also provides the causes of low effectiveness of "morality and personality" from several aspects as textbook, teaching methodology and faculty. It introduces the features, contents, issuing process of the course. To know the features of the new course clearer. The paper compares it with the former one "morality and personality" in the nature, content standard. Teaching methodology. Teaching assessment of the course. The second part the feedback of a question naive research carried out in Jiangan District, a provincial reform district on fundamental educational course of Hubei The questionnaires were sent to 31 teachers from 28 schools and 125 students from 3 schools. The questionnaire focuses on knowing the reactions, understandings, altitudes and suggestions from teachers and students. In the third part it presents suggestions on how to implement the course more effectively such as putting up training programmers for faculty to bring into innovative educational concept, Making use of the textbook in a creativeway,strengthening class management and organizing educational activities.We believe that the course "morality and life" has brought us both challenges and opportunities we hope to enhance the effective-ness of this course by means of changing educational concept so as to bring the most advantages to the children.
