Investigation And Analysis On The Current Condition Of The Advanced Track And Field Coaches In Henan Province

In the new century, competitive sports have developed into a new stage.-Multi-disciplinary infiltration has made training, competition and management more scientific. Thus, the coaches who play a leading role in the above processes are the first to face with the changes. The new era has put forward higher requirements on the coaches' quality, ability and knowledge for them to meet the new challenges. "There are factors of different aspects influencing the standard of sports skills of a country, and the number and level of coaches compose a very important one."The sports competition in the 21st century is actually the competition of science and technology, the essence of which is the competition of talents. The quality, ability, and knowledge level of coaches directly affects the all-round development of athletes and the improvement of the standard of competition sports. The National Games is the top-level sports competition, which reflects the strength of competitive sports of each province. On the 7th National Games, athletes of Henan province struggled hard in the competition of track and field items and won the 6th place. On the 8th National Games, our provincial team got the 13th , and on the 9th , the team was the 19th in the order of results. There are many factors which cause the score to drop sharply. Since coaches are the chief factor influencing the achievement, to study about coaches is of great theoretical and practical significance.B means of documents, datas, investigation, systematic analysis, logical analysis, and mathematical statistics, this paper makes an overall investigation on the advancedtrack and field coaches in Henan province and finds out the factors influencing the work of coaches.The results of the study are as follows:(l)The advanced track and field coaches in our province have high quality and strong ability. But the fact that their theoretical knowledge is poor is worrying.(2)The coaches are unevenly distributed among the sports events. The number of coaches on running race is much larger, while coaches on other events are comparatively small in number.(3) The coaches have only a few research and academic achievements and their ability to use computer in the work is still weak. The paper first makes a thorough analysis on the main factors influencing the work of coaches, and then puts forward constructive suggestion on how to improve the level of the advanced track and field coaches in Henan province as a whole. The above results can be reference for the related provincial department to make policy for the development of sports. Finally, a great expectation is that track and field sports of Henan province come to a glorious stage soon.
