The credit system, which derived from Liberal Education in United States, has been becoming the most important trend of Chinese higher educational reforms and has strong effects on traditional teaching concept and system of academic year in Chinese universities which came into being from the planned economic system. On the basis of looking back on the history of the credit system development and analyzing inner and outer affecting factors, the experimental methods are employed in this study to explore and summarize the problems in the credit system development with the view of teaching subjects in universities i.e. undergraduates, teachers, and administrative personnel. At the same time, using the experience of modern higher education in some western developed countries for reference and considering our specific practices of social and higher education development, from two aspects of society and universities this study puts forward some measures for solving the problems which occur in carrying out the credit system and bettering higher educational teaching system.
