The 20th century witnessed an explosion of knowledge, which has been a great challenge to the traditional teaching mode so far. However, the stuffing teaching mode remains the most prevailing one in most schools of China. Having been used to the routing of "listening-accepting (memorizing)-practicing (consolidation) since the first day in the kindergarten, the students' learning abilities have gradually been weakened by the time they entered the high schools or colleges. Namely, they can't go without teachers! Therefore, cultivating the students' learning abilities has become one of the most important subjects of basic education research.This paper, starting with the history and current situation of the development of the "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode", tries to expound the connotation of "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode" and compares it with other teaching mode so as to find out the differences and the connections. Based on the theory of constructivism by J. Piaget, a psychologist, and R.M. Gagne's theory of knowledge classification, this paper also makes an active research into the tactics teaching and regular teaching, which help solve the problems in high school physics, aiming to clarify the importance of seeking the solution of problems from their presentation and offer the "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode" to both tactics teaching and regular teaching.This paper holds the view that different teaching modes should be applied to different types of knowledge, and that even for the same type of knowledge, different teaching modes should be used in different teaching stages. Having been applied in the teaching practice of the recent years, the "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode" proved to be particularly appropriate to the tactics teaching and regular teaching. It helps a lot to cultivate the students' abilities of active learning as well as to get rid of their bad learning habits and thinking habits.Finally, this paper not only talks about the value and significance of the "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode", but also points out its limitation. Hopefully this paper will inspire the education circle to join me in enriching and developing the "Asking & Answering Teaching Mode".
