Basketball competition-performance in China has achieved a boarder development due to the 7 years' reform featuring vocationalization and marketalization.It's time to study further the main body of the supply and the demand of the market. On the one hand, such a study can help people to get a comprehensive view on the present market. On the other, it can help the authority to decide policies, to optimize market and it can help mangers of professional basketball clubs to identify, classify and develop better their market.None of the former studies has ever studied comprehensively on the basis of an integration of the supplying main body and that of the demanding. This thesis is an effort here, as a data-based study on the development and the consumers of the professional basketball clubs. Our research objects are the 13 professional basketball clubs of CBA of 2001~2002 and the on-the-spot audiences in Suzhou, Nanjing. Our main methods include interview, questionnaire, etc. Moreover, we gave our countermeasures about the basketball market's management, structure, policies and marketing, etc on the basis of economics, management and marketing theory.
