Reading teaching occupies an important place in Chinese teaching. It takes a lot in the classroom but the result is unsatisfactory. Reading can benefit students in their future study, but the guidance lack of scientific theories will greatly hurt students ' reading interest unconsciously. The most serious problems are that gaining a high score makes us helpless and pursuing " Correctness " drives us rationalless in reading teaching, in which objectively exists the concept of reading teaching "Result First" .To change the present situation that we emphasize the result single-handedly but ignore the reading process in reading teaching, we should lay emphasis on "Process First" . Pre-reading is an indispensable starting point for teaching. Students' multi-literal comprehension should be fully respected. Referring to the necessity of teaching reading efficiency promotion and the principle of learning sparsely but importantly, students should be provided withefficient reading demonstration and direction.According to the study of Modern Reading and Psychology, this paper, also based on the exemplifications of the Chinese teachers concerned and in connection with the author' s own teaching reform, puts forward that reading teaching is opening, interactive and compatible; and that Chinese teachers are developers and promoters. It also establishes Process First in teaching Chinese reading.
