The failure of Duwey " learning in doing " in 20s and Research-based Teaching in 1960s both omit teachers' function in a great extent .Research-based Teaching has these characters which are initiative, question, process, practice and so on. It is new education idea, so it challenge teachers, include teacher's educational idea, knowledge structure, teaching technique, role function, educating-based study , character and so on. Research-based Teaching not only emphasizes students' initiative. In fact , but the ability of students' inquiring form and development is not abrupt, but gradual. It is impossible for students to learn by themselves or inquiry blindly . In spite of the choice of inquiring variety, the creation of inquiring condition and the activities of inquiring, each steps all need teachers' guide.
