| This paper deals with the research of the development of multimedia computer assisted instruction software's theory, key technology and analysis instructional software, discussing the using skills of the main creating tools-Macromedia Authorware 6.0 .The multimedia is the carrier of various information,such as digital, text, sound, graphics, image, cartoon ect.The development of multimedia instruction software is one part of Computer Assisted Instruction ( CAI) system . It describes the instruction procedure with computer programs,in the meantime ,using the key techenology of multimedia interactivity, Hyper text and OLE(Object linking and Embedding)The base of the instrument analysis instructional software is according to teaching book of Analytical Chemistry (4th version , edited by Yuqing Sun ) , including basic theory , brief summary ?exercises, and experiment. On the left of the main interface is interactivemenu . User can surf freely in all chapters . And every chapter adopts HyperText to link its relevant contents . HyperText is a popular form of information menagement in the web and it is welcome to most developers . HeperText is especially suitable to develop instructional softwares of college courses .The newest version of Macromedia Authorware 6.0 was chosen to work . Authorware is based on symbols and flow diagrams , comprising 11 interaction types . It is easy and its functions are perfect . Its flow diagrams can distinctly express the complicated structures of multimedia works . In addition , the starting animated cartoon and some pictures are created by Flash 5.0 , some texts come from Microsoft Word , and the tables, some of text in the book and the photos of the experimental demonstrations are imported through scanner by the software of photoshop 6,0 .During the whole development, it is important to interact and to make this instructional software vivid , flexible and easy to operate .
