In order to face and solve the environment problems, guided by the theories of environment education, this study is to research the infiltration of the environment education into the biology teaching. The purposes of this study are to provide theory base for the education reform and provide a new pathway for the competence education. The work of this research included several parts below: I . Overview(1) the theories of environment education.This paper summarized the concept, purpose, history and characteristics of environment education, and pointed out the present condition and characteristics of China' s environment education.In its history of more than 20 years, environment education has made rapid progress in the world. China has realized importance of environment education, and make full use of media to proceed the environment education. But in the senior middle school, environment education is just in the weak link.(2) the necessity to infiltrate environment education into subject education in senior high school.The high school is the key period to have environment education. It has realistic meaning, and all the subjects have duty to infiltrate environment education into subject education. (3 )the advantages of infiltrating the environment education into biology teachingThe relation of the living creatures and environment is an important part of biology teaching. The new-edited biology textbook have the abundant learning materials of environment education, and therefore making use of the textbook to have the environment education gets its reason. II. The practice of the infiltration of environment education (1) having environment education with the combination of textbook and environmentThe teaching cannot be separated with the teaching materials of the textbook. The biology textbook in senior high school has many concrete contents that have relation with environment education. In this study, according to the knowledge contents and the actual circumstances, I analyzed the textbook and the syllabus, constructed the content system. Two paralleled classes in Xifei no. 1 high school in YanLiang, Xi'an City were being choosed for this study during the period of March and June in 2002. After 57 lessons, effectiveness has appeared.(2) making use of the research learning to infiltrate the environment educationIn the process of promoting the environment education, the research learning should be adopted as the instruction way to promote students' active participation, to enhance their ability of problem-solving. In the learning, they also need the help of parents, the supports from community and other organizations.(3) making use of the social practice to infiltrate the environment educationStepping out of the classroom teaching, the problems can be combined with the real environment. And in this state, students can realized the existed environment, they can focus on the existed problems. It can increase their ability of problem-solving, enhance their spirit of practice . III. The experimental study on the infiltration the environment education into the biology teaching.Participants were 112 students of Xifei no.l high school in YanLiang, Xi'an City, they are divided into two classes, that is, experimental class and the control class. The questionnaire was being used to have pre-test and post-test. After the study, I have the results just as below:(1) The z-tcst within the experiment class has showed that the students's environmental consciousness has an notable increasing.(2) The z-test between the two classes has showed that the environmental consciousness of the students in control group has no apparent increasing. Due to the teaching materials, there showed no obvious difference between two classes.Classroom teaching is still not enough, we should let students walk into the nature, walk into society, know the environment problem nearby, know how to cope with the environment pollution.
