From June, 2001, another reform in elementary educational curricula has begun overwhelmingly in experimental areas throughout the country. Since such a reform is ultimately to be carried out by teachers and students, the relationship between teachers and students becomes a main factor affecting the implementation on the traditional relationship between teachers and students, analyzing its drawbacks and the causes, and expounding the necessity to restructure the relationship between teachers and students in the implementation of curriculum reform. It then analyzed roles which teachers and students should play in the new curricula. And afterwards it went on to expound the restructure of the relationship as well as its theoretical bases. Finally this thesis points out the significance of the restructure, with the hope that it would, to some degree, push forward the current curriculum reform.
