In the 21 憕 century, our society and economy develops at very fast speed, and bioscience changes with each passing day. With 搕he Bio-economy Age?coming, biology technology will become more and more important to people抯 life and the production. The concept of population ecology, the concept of circumstance ecology will go deep into all sides of the biological teaching. This is helpful to solve the problems ultimately such as the needs of food, the worse circumstance, and the decrease in resources. Facing the opportunities and the challenges with the times, the reformation of the middle school抯 teaching method in biology is imperative under the situation, As the basic and core course, the reformation must be suitable for the social change, and it should be the embodiment of the ideas of the quality education. With teaching biology in this way, a new generation with bioscience ideas would be brought up. Under the guide of Marxism methodology, with a dialectical materialist point of view, the paper applies the basic principle of pedagogic, teaching theory and course theory to integrate the middle school teaching practice. Adopting the methods of the document analysis, comparative study, demonstration study, this paper tries to make an overall analysis of the present situation. Drawing lessons of certain advanced experiences of teaching biology appropriately from inside and outside of our country, it discusses the train of thought about reformation and the corresponding mechanism of the middle school biological course in our country in the new centu~y. The paper consists of four parts, which can be further specified as: 1. Introduction First of all, the introduction part provides a brief review of the historical development of the middle school biological course in our country. From the point of view the development of the times and the demands for the reformation, it discusses the reformation cause of the middle school biological course. 2. Study of the demonstration The second part tries to make the study of the demonstration of present situation of the middle school biological course in our country. From the three aspects of the course standard, teaching material, and the teaching process, it analyzes some problems and abuses in the middle school biological course in our country. 3. Basic train of thought Aiming at the problems and abuses in he middle school biological course in our country, the third part points out the basic train of thought about reformation of the middle school biological course in our country in the new century. This is key point to the paper. Firstly, the biological course target shows certain educational values in the biological course, and it must be able to meet the needs of the society and the students. On the other hand, it must follow the logic of the biology systems, and possess the character of the foundation, development, integrality~ variety, maneuverability and measurability. Secondly, the stnictures and the contents of the course should possess opening and integrated characters, which accommodate to the new needs of training the person with ability. Thirdly, to carry out the plan of the course, we should make a teaching system with the features of various specifications, different levels.
