Beach Volleyball Sport In Regular Institudions Of Higher Learning Status Quo And Countermeasure

Born in the end of 1920s, beach volleyball sport developed to such a degree that itevolved from a pastime for fun into a popular modern sport. At Atlanta Olympics in 1996,beach volleyball sport gained recognition as a regular sport match. Right after that, beachvolleyball sport has been growing in a rapid way. China, with an extensive land and a largepopulation, universally recognized as a sport nation, possesses a considerable number ofpotential participants for sports. Therefore, since its introduction to China between the end of1980s and the beginning of 1990s, especially the conduct of the first national beach volleyballmatch in 1994, beach volleyball sport was rapidly accepted by the masses and sport athleticswas enhanced gradually. In 1990s, series of beach volleyball matches were held in regularinstitutions of higher learning in China, and they worked out very well. It's true that beachvolleyball sport in regular institutions of higher learning has witnessed popularization andathletics development, but one significant thing we have to consider is that it's inadequate toactually enhance sport athletics only by means of popularization and promotion among themasses. Consequently, in order to facilitate the beach volleyball sport, it demands a morereliable, more efficient talent-cultivation mode. The thesis covers the following parts: statusquo of beach volleyball sport in regular institutions of higher learning, its theoretical analysis,countermeasures against problems. The research work aims to offer counseling and guidanceto beach volleyball sport in regular institutions of higher learning.The methodology employed in the thesis covers: literature, interview, questionnaire,mathematical statistics, logical analysis. Findings of the thesis indicate that in beachvolleyball sport in regular institutions of higher learning, the following factors play a crucialrole: support of school leaders and management at all levels, beach volleyball teacherstraining system, field construction, sport promotion in regular institutions of higher learning,conduct of beach volleyball matches, concerning their quantity and scale.
