Graduate education for professional degree has undergone development for more than a decade, and educational administrative departments of all levels and institutions of higher learning have obtained a wealth of theoretical research and practical experience in the education and practice of professional degree graduate. However, due to its late start in China, professional degree education and talent training are far from standardized and mature. There are still many problems, especially in the management of part-time professional degree graduate training, which is worthy of careful study and exploration.On the basis of the illustration of the innovative motivation in the part-time professional graduate training management and by means of interviews, questionnaires, literature analysis and comparison, this paper identifies problems in student status management, curriculum and examination management, management of training program formulation, revision and implementation, mentor training management, academic research and dissertation management, managerial team, etc. It also analyzes the causes of these problems and finally puts forward new ideas for the part-time professional degree graduate training from aspects of increasing management awareness, strengthening training links management and building information management system. These new ideas include enhancing the training management and process management, improving development of rules, regulations and operational mechanism (particularly the implementation of phase-out mechanism), reinforcing mentor training management and the student learning management by administrative departments, strengthening the management of the training program formulation, revision and implementation, and constructing information management system and creating network learning environment, arranging scientifically the teaching time and plugging effectively the loopholes in teaching curriculum,.This study will provide positive meaning and impetus for cultivating high-level applied innovative talents and improving the quality of part-time professional graduate training management, and offer reference for improving the training quality of part-time professional graduate degree.
