Research On The Development Trend Of Taekwondo Techniques And Tactics

Literature study, video observation, mathematical statistics and other research methods were used, from the dimensions of techniques and tactics, to analyze comparatively two World Series characterized by electronic protective appliance and common protective appliance respectively, in the base of which the trend of Taekwondo techniques and tactics were explored in this article. The object of this study was all the competitors, including men and women of all levels, participating in the finals and semi-finals of the 2009 Taekwondo World Championships and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The independent sample T test was used to analyze all the data obtained.The research results are just as follows:(1)The world-wide Taekwondo playing-methods are tactics playing-method, power playing-method and integrated playing-method. With the development of competitive Taekwondo and its rules changed, the Taekwondo techniques and tactics went through the time applying more flight, difficult movement, and then the time focusing on simple and practical movement, starting from the actual combat and in the final gradually returned to the stage of difficult technology.(2)With the use of electronic protective appliance, the utilization rate of forward- cross kick, spin, side kick increased not significantly. The utilization rate of men's downward kick significantly increased. The utilization rate of their backward- cross kick, backward kick, whirlwind kick, and side kick and boxing technologies increased not significantly. The success rate of their technical use differentiated from the one before not significantly. The score of their backward kick decreased significantly. While the utilization rate of women's forward-cross kick, backward- cross kick, backward kick decreased. The success rate of their backward kick decreased significantly. The success rate of their backward- cross kick and downward kick decreased not significantly. The success rate of their whirlwind kick increased not significantly. (3)With the use of electronic protective appliance, the utilization rate of men's head-hit technology increased and the utilization rate of men's truck-hit technology decreased, but both them differentiated from the one before not significantly. The success rate of their head-hit technology increased and the success rate of their truck-hit technology decreased, but both they differentiate from the one before not significantly, too. The score of head-hit technology increased significantly and the score of truck-hit technology decreased significantly. While the utilization rate of women's both head-hit and truck-hit technologies differentiated from the one before not significantly. The success rate of their head-hit technology increased and the one of their truck-hit technology decreased, but both them differentiated from the one before not significantly. With the use of electronic protective appliance, the utilization rate of men's all technologies differentiated from the one before not significantly. The success rate of their direct and indirect attack decreased slightly, and the success rate of their direct counter-attack and attack-defense conversion increased slightly, but both them differentiated from the one before not significantly.(4)The development trend of Taekwondo techniques and tactics will be just as follows:The accuracy and strength of attack tend to be of higher demand; the tough and high technology tend to be more diversified; the direct confrontation of special ability tend to be more fierce; the technology tend to will integrated into the tactics, and attack, defense and counter-attack tend to be more integrated.
