According to the educator Lan Ye, "Education is the conscious social activity that directly aims at affecting human's physical and mental development". Education is not only the transmission and update of knowledge and culture, but also the call of soul and the display of life awareness. In modern society, education and utilitarian needs are closely linked and, moreover, the exam-oriented education has caused education evolved into the process of exam-oriented drills and practice. Consequently, it has become a current educational mainstream that knowledge is prior to emotion. With the reform of new curriculum for basic education and the awakening of humanity in Chinese education, the new curriculum system has broken the knowledge-based textbook structure. New Chinese Curriculum Standards requires setting teaching objectives from the three dimensions of knowledge and skills, processes and methods, attitudes and values. It is the first time that emotional dimension is confirmed in the teaching system, thus emotional education has become a major highlight and focus of the new curriculum. Writing is a kind of text expression controlled by human emotions. However, being the important but weak component of Chinese teaching, composition teaching has always been the target of discussion and analysis.Therefore, this study has selected the emotional education in high school writing instruction as research object. It starts with the observation of writing classes, and attempts to explore the current situation of emotional education inadequacy in high school writing instruction based on observation and interview. Next it tries to analyze deeply the root cause of its loss, and finally makes suggestions concerning the implementation of teaching strategies in high school writing teaching. This study strives to provide helpful advice to assist high school Chinese teachers further implementing teaching process and improving the quality of writing instruction. What's more, it also provides guidance for teachers on how to shape students'noble spirit and sound personality though writing instruction. The paper consists of five parts.The first is the general instruction. It starts with the "false writing" caused by exam-oriented education, and the conflict between traditional concept of composition teaching and new curriculum education needs. And then it points out the necessity and research value of affective education in composition teaching and finally puts forward research methods of this study.The second part sets emotional education as a starting point to explore the content, features and significance of emotional education teaching high school writing.The third part attempts to explore the current situation and problems of writing instruction in high school and then categorizes the causes to lay a foundation for further improvement.The last part makes suggestion concerning the implementation strategies for affective education in high school writing teaching. Finally it points out the problems of the study and research directions of related issues in the field. |
