Construction And Dissolution: The Rural Family Church In Village Community Transformation

Since Christianity establishment, the family church has already existed as a kind of Christian religious form. In the process of Christianity was introduced into China and rapidly localized, family church also developed quickly. This paper tries to do empirical research for family church of the W village in Wanbei, furthermore, tries to reveal the construction and dissolution of family church in social transformation of rural family.This paper divides into introduction and text, a total of six chapters. Introduction part includes the origin and meaning, the related topic studies, literature review and the general case of the village. The second, third, and fourth chapter use process-event analysis method, descript the development course of family church in W village in a story telling way as a third-person. The second chapter basically describes the village from family church descendants knows to fusion, from the Christian family church setting process. The third chapter basically describes the village family church in the face of adversity, and suppress period of the Muslim faith persistence. The fourth chapter is the description of rural religion into national policies, religious policies loose no longer suppress since the development of village family church experience with conflict, fusion and divorce. The fifth chapter analyzes the development process of rural family church rationally and objectively, this chapter mainly discusses the deconstruction of village community since the reform and opening up, family church in the construction of village community and conflicts in the development of family church. The sixth chapter is some discussion, discusses family church and village governance and some other thoughts about family church.With the development of rural society in China since reform and opening, this paper argues that the links between the villagers and the village community is increasingly broken, the liquidity of farmers and villagers is increasingly strengthen while the relies to village community is increasingly reduced, the deconstruction of the interpersonal network in village has caused the deconstruction of village community. Family church plays a role as interpersonal function, educational functions and psychological balm for the village community in its development process. In a certain sense, family church made some effort to construction of village community.
