When vigorously promoting urbanization in China,the planning and construction of urban residential quarters are in a period of unprecedented,the development of commodity-type residential quarters are more and more frequently and the size of the community is also growing,persons in community have different occupations, different classes, different nations, different cultures.Residents'beliefs,values and behaviors show a trend of diversification,residents'community identity is challenged ,some people think that the current communal identity no longer exists.The article researches and analysises the communal identity of commodity-type residential quarters,pay special attention to Hui people who live there,and turn to the question of the rehabilitation of muslim habitation. Through qualitative and quantitative research,confirmed people still have high communal identity,and there was a positive correlation between communal identity and community participation,community relationships,community satisfaction. Of course, there are many problems in the commodity-type residential quarters,although residents have some sense of participation, but the actual participation is very low, relationship is relatively loose, the sense of self-government is not strong, community health services are not in place, etc. This requires developers and governments more concerne about the psychological demands of community residents,mobilize the social capital in the community ,pay greater efforts to promote construction of community service and community autonomy, more focus on preservation of national. and city historical cultural in the planning and construction in the future.
