The research bases on the sports psychology, cognitive psychology and motor control theory, combined with the characteristics of pole vault, using psychological measurements and skills to conducting a period of 16 weeks of mental training.20 Shanghai pole vaulters randomly divided into experimental and control groups by campaign level. The first 8 weeks respectively conducting space-time characteristics training, imagery training and emotions training, then the next 8 weeks combined imagery training and emotions training in addition. Through psychological training to improve their psychological control ability. This study hopes to make space-time characteristics training; imagery training and emotions training would be used in the further promotion and application in the field of sports.Results:Psychological indicators:After the first 8 weeks of psychological skills training, the experimental group and control group in the imagery skills, self-confidence scores have no significant difference, but the imagery skills component of the table shows that after experiment,the vision and hearing imagery scores of experimental group both have significant differences (t= 3.54**, p<0.01), (t=2.45*,p<0.05), shows imagery training main effect of the first 8 weeks is reflected in the improvement of visual and auditory skills. After 16 weeks of psychological skills training, the experimental group and control group in the imagery of skills and self-confidence scores all have significant differences (t= 2.14*; t= 2.32*,p<0.05), shows that, after a long period of time psychological training,athlete imagery skills and self-confidence improved a lot. And the imagery skills scores on visual, hearing, motion perception, mood,and control have significant differences after experiment (t= 3.67**, p<0.01), (t= 2.45*, p<0.05), (t= 2.67**, p<0.01), (t= 2.13*, p<0.05), (t= 2.06*, p<0.05), shows that, after the next 8 weeks imagery training combined with emotional control training, athletes imagery skills from visual, auditory to all around improved.Physiological indicators:After the first 8 weeks of the appearance of training, the experimental group athletes to relax muscle and heart rate during the experiment have significant differences (t= 2.58*; t= 2.46*, p<0.05), when imageing,muscle power and heart rate compared with relaxation have significantly increased (t= 2.74*, p<0.05), (t= 3.51**,p<0.01), while the control group, EMG and heart rate values in the experiments did not occur significant differences. Shows the experimental group athletes in the 8-week imagery training process, have learned relaxation techniques to relax the first self-adjustment to optimal state of mind into the imagery training, resulting in the appearance of technology, players can also use a positive imagery.After the first 8 weeks of emotional control training, the experimental group of athletes in LF/ HF ratio (LF/HF value, the lower is that the more stable equilibrium) decreased and reached significant difference (t= 2.85**, p<0.01), regulation, stability and capacity and integration capabilities have been greatly improved and reached significance level (t= 2.52*, p<0.05),(t= 4.05**, p<0.01), (t= 2.25*, p<0.05). Indexes the control group there were no significant differences. Shows that, after the first 8 weeks of emotional regulation training, players can learn to achieve a balanced emotional state of self-regulation.After the next 8 weeks which used imagery-emotional control training, the experimental group not only muscle relaxation, heart rate over the previous 8 weeks and reached a further decline in the level of significance when they relaxing (t= 3.12**; t= 4.29**, p<0.01), skin resistance also decreased and reached the level of significance (t= 3.56**, p<0.01), LF/HF index showed a further decline was significant difference (t= 3.01**,p<0.01). Regulation, stability and capacity and further enhance the comprehensive ability and have a significant level (t= 3.79**; t= 4.63**; t= 4.02**,p<0.01). Athletes in the appearance of EMG and heart rate when compared not only to relax when there are more significant of the increased (t= 3.57**; t= 4.82**, p<0.01), skin resistance and skin temperature also increased to significance level (t= 2.61*; t= 2.27*, p<0.05). The various physiological indicators of the control group before the experiment, after all no significant differences. These results suggest that 8 weeks after the imagery-emotional training, the experimental group athletes to combine different situations, poor control of emotions, relax to regulate their state of mind, mood and appearance of the control technology used at the same time the appearance of continuity-which emotional training, and the results are only used over the previous eight weeks training in appearance or emotional control is better.Skill indicators:After the first 8 weeks of training in space-time characteristics of the experimental group, the level of athletes off the speed loss, the run the last two changes step by step and the last 5 meters long speed have significant differences (t= 2.72**, p< 0.01),(t= 3.438**, p<0.01), (t= 1.99*, p<0.05). After the next 8 weeks, athletes off the speed loss, step by step approach the last two and the last 5 meters in length faster than before on the basis of 8 weeks to improve further with increased (t= 2.77**, p<0.01), (t= 4.087**, p<0.01), (t= 2.22*, p<0.05). The control group in these experiments no special skills before and after differences. Shows spatial and temporal characteristics through progressive training, coaches and athletes through the continuous updating of data objective technical feedback technology to do self-adjustment, so athletes in the last 5 meters of the run-up speed is significantly increased, while gradually reducing the level of speed in the takeoff process loss and better up to speed into forward speed, so as to keep off more energy to next air movements.Conclusion:Based on the above experimental results, the following conclusions:(1) Mental training contributes to the improvement of pole vaulters imagery skills, increasing their self-confidence, which play a important role to use pole vault technique.(2) Through relaxation, imagery training, the subjects'self-relax and imagery ability have distinctly improved. And there will be corresponding physiological and psychological reactions when the subjects image the courses of playing skills.(3) Space-time characteristics of the training will help athletes improve running speed and grasp the running rhythm as well as play a positive role on performance scores.(4) Emotional control combined with imagery training encourages athletes to play stability skills in different situations, and can adjust to the best psychology state.(5) With the increase of training time, the effects of mental training is more obvious and more conducive to the enhancement of mental ability and the consolidation of skills.
