Research On The Pattern Of Ideological And Political Education Of China's National Defense Students

With the rapid development of modern science and technology, new revolution in military affairs, taking informatization as its substantive characteristics has turbulently come. How to cultivate more talents for the army concerns whether we can win the revolution. Local colleges have advantages over military schools in high-tech, especially information technology, because of their complete curriculum system, excellent faculty and rich education resources. The national defense and military modernization drives us to explore military and civilian integration. In this sense, we established the system of higher education to cultivate military talents in 2000 formally. PLA is an armed group carrying out political tasks and therefore, military cadres should attach the most important to political qualification. Besides, national defense students are just at the key stage of the formation of outlook of life, value and world and local colleges relatively open atmosphere make national defense students easily being influenced by bad ideology. In recent years, front-line workers have emphasized ideological and political education of national defense students very much. But the cultivation of national defense students is a fresh thing and some problems still exist in the ideological and political education of national students. These problems have reduced the quality of cultivation. So, it's very urgent and necessary to continue to implement the research in the ideological and political education of national defense students. According to the fact that I have worked on the cultivation of national defense students in China University of Geosciences in Beijing, on the basis of the existing research, I took a questionnaire survey and an interview, getting the first-hand data about their ideological and political states. What's more, I interviewed some graduates and employing units and the information they supplied also benefited the research. This paper analyzes the ideological and political education work and the ideological and political quality of national defense students on the basis of the data from the questionnaire survey and the interview. And also, the ideological and political education of national defense students, college students and military school students is compared and the shortage of the education is concluded. Finally, the paper concludes theoretically the pattern of ideological and political education of national defense students in China University of Geosciences in Beijing from several aspects including the goals, organization and leadership, principles, contents and methods. I sincerely hope this paper can benefits the cultivation of national defense students.
