Credibility, one of Chinese traditional merit of values, is considered not only as the cornerstone of modern civilization and social development and the moral soul of the healthy development of market economy, but also the basic requirements of civil life. As the masters of the future society, college students'credibility plays a very important role in social stability. At the same time, colleges and universities, known as the forefront of the ideological and political education, assume great responsibilities to train lawful citizens. Consequently, cultivating college students'senses of integrity and law and increasing their ability to be more credible have been becoming the top priority in ideological and political education.Based on the empirical investigation of one of provisional Universities, this dissertation analyses the current situation, problems and corresponding causes of college students'credibility and credibility education. The main problems concerning the present college students'credit education include the challenge of social transformation, social alienation of the education, its embarrassing activity condition, and dilemma between credibility and non-credibility. Comparing approaches to college students'credibility education in western citizen education, We should take countermeasures, such as establishing an educational philosophy compatible with the civic education so that these students can make preparations for becoming citizens in advance and realize the importance of awareness of the obligations of citizens internally. Based on the principles of"moral education first for credibility, education first for moral education, and cultural-oriented education", credit education activities should be organized among college students to strengthen education of their"world outlook, outlook on life and values"so as to achieve their true citizenship. We also should seek some positive approaches and paths, including context guided, situational method, example -demonstration method, investigation, etc. To innovate credit education and finally construct a sound evaluation system to guarantee the effectiveness of college students'credit education. |
