Muay Thai Movement In Our Current Situation To Carry Out Research And Development Strategy

As one of the most famous Asian sports, Muay Thai fighting, with its vicious sturdy, fast fist leg disease, Zhou Xi and use pre-emptive strike, etc., has become a dynamic fighting sport worldwide. Muay Thai is already the Asian Games event, and has been actively promoting into the Olympics, the skills have been promoting throughout the world, except China, the skills have also been launched to Japan, South Korea and the United States and Europe. The number of entries in the World Muay Thai Championships in 2008 has reached thousands of people; the effect and the scale even catch up with the trend of San-da.China's huge market demand causes Muay Thai's rising in major cities in China, according to incomplete statistics, there were about 1000 Muay Thai Pavilion, with 15-35 years old male trainees. Although Muay Thai project formally launched in China only three years, it has achieved considerable success. Muay Thai in China has made a leap-type development. The State Sports General Administration has agreed to formally construct the Muay Thai project in 2010 as for the increasingly high standard race, marking the Muay Thai project into the competition in our series officially.Developing in a short time, inevitably Muay Thai has many problems. For the sustained and healthy development of Muay Thai in China, it is very important and necessary to study the current status and problems, meanwhile, to put forward a constructive development strategy. The research of the present study can not only arouse the passion of Muay Thai fans and scholars, but can also provide a theoretical reference for the regulation of Muay Thai in China.Through literature, expert interviews, questionnaires, observation, statistics, logical induction and other research methods, this paper investigate the current status of Muay Thai, and studies Muay Thai developing strategy based on the findings. The current status of Muay Thai are:(1) Muay Thai movement is in the strong development momentum, However, regulatory mechanisms are not sound enough; (2) the small number and scale of Muay Thai Pavilion, management is still not standardized; (3) high fees of Muay Thai training, training curricula need to be perfect; (4) the overall level of Muay Thai coaches need to be raising, the small proportion of young full-time coach; (5) Muay Thai practitioners, mainly young men, the scope is not wide enough; (6), Muay Thai practitioners, with fewer daily exchanges, the training model is rather simple; (7) Muay Thai is put more emphasis, but the game regulations are quite single.According to the current situation and existing problems, this paper put forward some strategies:(1) increasing the propaganda campaign of Muay Thai, establishing a sound supervisory and regulatory mechanisms; (2) expanding the gymnasium scale, developing chained, intensively; (3) strong coaching team building and raising the level of training in coaching; (4) The diversification of content and form, massification of trainee; (5) strengthening support to Muay Thai..
