Beside the table tennis, it has been developing from the former weak to the the table tennis circles'hegemony in past more than one century since 1904 when table tennis was imported. In that more than one hundred years, though it had experienced short-time frustration, it never wandered up and down in the dilemma. The players proved that they were strong to the world with much triumph, they won honor for our country with their combatant spirit, and disseminated the table tennis'extensive and profound with their words and deeds. Open the history of table tennis, look forward to the orientation of the society'development, we'll easily realize that table tennis shouldn't confine itself to sport and game'category, but should embody more educational connotation. Table tennis breeds the harmonious development of human with production and individuality with society, contains important educational value of cultivating and educating men, endows large cultural and ethical wealth for the human being, and promotes uninterrupting advance of the human civilization, so this event has been growing steadily. Especially in our country, it has become a kind of large influence education and culture activity, and has remarkable educational value.This article is based on physical education, and does a research on table tennis'exercise characteristics and educational value , and reheares the table tennis at its education value'angle by the methods of summarize documents, logical analysis. After this, in order to develop table tennis sport well and improve the education value completely, the writer make a summary in the end of the article.The education value of table tennis includes moral , physical , intelligence and aesthetic education value,in these aspects, moral education value is centre , physical education value is external , intelligence and aesthetic education value is inner value. Face to a turn in the reform of educational system, educational heterization, sport materialization, and so on. These problems which are harmful to the society moral have been taking a turn for the better after administering sport exercise according to law and governing sport exercise according to moral.But if we want to find a kind of enhancing national quality fundamentally, and a medium of meeting the human'development and improvement demands, it is necessary for us to give play to the function of table tennis, realise and improve the education value in its entirety, and achieve goal of pushing mass sports forward, finnally it can bring fully strengthen the important role for health, harmony, sequence of development to the human society.
