With the development of the economy in Shanghai, more and more children from migrant worker's families get enrolled in normal Shanghai middle schools to receive education. For various reasons, compared with that of local Shanghai students, the English of children from migrant worker's families are relatively weak and most of them are not interested in learning this language at all, therefore, it is necessary to motivate more of these children's initiative to learn English and enhance their ability to learn English. After studying several modern popular pronunciation teaching methods and analyzing insufficiency of them in practice, the author puts forward a new pronunciation teaching method based on the Happy Teaching pedagogy: Pedagogy of Teaching English Pronunciation with Fun Activities. Taking full advantages of the curiosities of students in psychology through a variety of fun activities and games, the teacher can make the pronunciation teaching lively and interesting through this method. It greatly arouses students'interest in learning English and enhances their ability and motivation to learn English. For the past several years, the author has adopted such method in teaching English pronunciation. The author's many years of experiences have proved its effectiveness in improving students'English level and its great use to arouse the students'interest in learning English. At the same time, the author also recognizes limitations of this method and seeks suggestions for further research.
