| The cultivation of innovative talents and the improvement of school's effectiveness need innovative principals. Principal is only with the spirit and capacity of innovation, and to be a creative principal in career planning, principals can keep up with the times, cope with the ever-changing challenges and seek better and faster development in educational changes. Innovative principals have scientific and advanced educational thoughts, attach importance to cultivating the creative quality and innovative personality of students, often organize and carry out educational innovation activities, often achieve innovative results, and continuously improve the overall effectiveness of school. Innovative qualities of principals consist of the ideological and political quality, advanced concept of educational leadership, knowledge, quality of abilities and innovative capacity. Innovative principal's growth is a process of his own qualities constantly updated and perfected.This study focuses on the theoretical analysis of growth conditions and means of innovative principals. Innovative principals are subject to internal conditions and external conditions of mutual influence and constraints in the process of growth. On the one hand, there must be a demanding environment and a system environment which can protect innovative principals'growth. Innovative principals should also actively seek support from higher administrative leadership and education experts, meanwhile gain acceptance from schools, parents and communities; on the other hand, innovative principals are also affected by personal ability and personal intention. The ways of innovative principals' growth mainly include self-learning, community, external training and creative practice, and self-learning is the basis of the innovative principals' growth; the community provides a new platform for innovative principals' growth; external training is the major driving force which promotes the innovative principals' growth. This paper takes innovative principals' growth stage and conversion of knowledge as the theoretical basis and proposes training model of innovative principals. Someone that wants to be innovative principal should do innovate practice constantly, that is, "doing is learning", and also develop their own innovative spirit and ability constantly. |
