The Status And Significance Of Fairness And Justice In Building A Harmonious Socialist Society

After the analysis of fairness and justice, the author thinks the fairness and justice has become an important standard to measure the level of social civilization and progress; through the elimination of all kinds of social disparities, the equal development opportunities and equal guarantee of rights and interest can be provided for all members of society. On this basis, the author analyze the fairness and justice in the theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics, pointing out that the equity of right is the inherent requirement of social fairness and justice and the logical and practical starting point of social harmony; equity of opportunities is the primary basis and the basic condition for social harmony; the equtiy of rules is the important link of social fairness and justice and the guarantee of the social harmony; the equity of distribution is the ideal goal of social fairness and justice and the basic requirement of social harmony. The four aspects are in mutual constraint and mutual influence state. They constitute a complete system. Any problem of any aspect will affect others.This paper argues that justice is the primary value of a harmonious socialist society; the pursuit of fairness and justice is the necessary requirement of building a socialist harmonious society, because fairness and justice is the inherent requirement of Marxism and the guiding ideology and theoretical basis of the socialist core value system; it is also the the most fundamental elements of the China's socialist core value system; fairness and justice is the nature embodiment of common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the primary value of socialist state system; it is also the important basis for the arrangements and innovation of the institutions; fairness and justice is the important connotation of the spirit of our nation and our times to help enhance the Chinese nation's cohesion, centripetal force, with the unique cohesive function on China's reform; fairness and justice is the basic value standard of socialist concept of honor and disgrace; it can correctly handle the contradictions among the people in the new situation and effectively solve the interest problems which are most direct, most practical and most concerned about. Based on this argument, the paper explaines the possibility of achieving fairness and justice in the process of building a socialist harmonious society. The possibility exists in the greatness and profound richness of the Chinese traditional civilization, the solid the foundation of the fairness and justice laid by Marxist theory, the clear connotation of the times bred by the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics.This lack of fairness and justice in contemporary China gave an overview of the performance that the lack of fairness and justice in the economic, political, and social security in an increasingly stand out, and that the harm is seriously damaging the party and the government's image and weaken the party's ruling class foundation and social base of vulnerable groups at the same time the problem will exacerbate the friction between the rich and the poor class and conflict, to achieve social harmony and a huge hidden dangers and risks. While further analysis of the reasons for lack of fairness and justice in our society in transition, growth and disorderly, institutional imperfections, and the concept of dislocation.In this paper, the author has a deep thought about fairness and justice in contemporary China, the goal of building a socialist harmonious society and how to strengthen the building of fairness and justice. The author is acutely aware that maintaining social equity is a matter of the overall situation of reform and development and a long-term the task which should be guided by scientific outlook on development. Particularly, the author points out that strengthening the system construction is the fundamental way to the building of fairness and justice. Through the institution building, we should safeguard the people's interest and right in political, economic, cultural, social aspects and so on; we should effectively maintain and promote social fairness and justice. To strengthen citizens' awareness education is an effective way to enhance fairness and justice building. we must highlight the social education and consolidate the fruits of the family education, school education, unit education to form the resultant force of education to promote the education of fairness and justice, improve the overall quality of all citizens, develop people's awareness of desire for fairness and justice, train the citizens the ability to participate the fairness and justice, encougare the citizens' pursuit of fairness and justice according to laws.
