"East Turkistan" Terrorist Crime Analysis

With the increasingly rampant terrorism crime, The international community has recognized that this is a serious harm to world peace and stability. Especially the "9·11"incident which shocked the entire world,not only becomes the apex of typical crime of terrorism, but also make it to a global focal point.The terrorism Crime has a long history,and gradully, it has developed into a globle problem which threatens the living, development as well as safety of human society,which are slowly unveiled especially after 1960s. It has become an vital safeguard for national security and stability, peace and development to fight the terrorism crimes, which is also an important common national duty and responsibility, although it is widely acceped among the international community that the crime of terrorism is a growing threat to today's world, due to the differences in political positions and national interests, there is not a single common definition on the its concept, which creates a barrier on fighting terrorist crimes. Therefore, to give an objective assessment on the definition of terrorist crime of the various theories, and thus make a more favorable definition of the concept of crime against terrorism, the fight against terrorism and crime, the theoretical basis, but also among countries to combat terrorism Collaboration provides the theoretical support of crime.Our country is facing a great threat from the increasingly severe terrorist activities. Yet the harm and influence exerted by East Turkistan Islamic has been constantly aggrandizing.The severe riot in Urumqi on July 5th,2009, deliberately plotted and manipulated by the terrorism, separatism and extremism outbound, was a terrorist activity to jeopardize the unity of our country and stability of our society. This riot had killed 140 people, with more than 800 injured, during which 260 vehicles were damaged, including 190 public transportation vehicles and more than 50 for civilian use, as well as 203 commercial shops and 14 civilian housings were damaged, which count to a construction area of 68,850 cubic meters. Moreover, there were more than 220 arsons citywide and two buildings were heavily destroyed. For quite a long time, the East Turkistan Terrorist Force has unceasingly jeopardized the economy development, living condition and social stabilization of Xinjiang.This thesis aims at disclosing the intrinsic nature of East Turkistan by analyzing the definition of terrorist crime and studying both historical development and present condition of East Turkistan terrorism. Confronted with the current situation of essential anti-terrorism in our country, this thesis tries to present some references from the angles of security guard and legislation through the analysis of the constitutive requirements for East Turkistan terrorism, which will also provide with important references for authorities to control terrorism and stabilize society in Xinjiang.
