| It was an important stage for the Soviet Union policy toward China during the 1945-1950. It was a period not only to adjust and rebuild the post-war international order, but also there were dramatic changes in China's domestic situation. Under the complicated situation, Soviet Union carried out a series of policy towards China, whose development influenced China even the world deeply at that time and in future.With the victory of World War II, the Soviet Union adjusted its foreign policy, and established the foreign policy of cooperation among major powers. In this process, in order to restore and maintain its strategic interests in the Far East and China, the Soviet Union opted the policy to China that is "Fu Chiang Shu communism" namely, the coordination with the United States supported the Kuomintang government and alienate the Chinese Communists. Meanwhile, because of no trusting the KMT government and the United States, the Soviet Union gave a limited, informal support to the Chinese Communists in the northeast area. After the outbreak of the Cold War, the Soviet Union abandoned its old policy, and made a policy adjustment toward China. It was increasing support to the northeast of China in military, economic and other aspects. At the same time, the Soviet Union did not give up the possibility of cooperation with the KMT and maintained official relations. With the development of Chinese domestic situation, and with the strengthening of Chinese Communist Party, the Soviet policy toward China focused more and more on Chinese Communist.Based on the succession of research results at home and abroad, from a historical point of view, the article will dissertate Soviet policy toward China during the 1945-1950 years, researches and discusses the background and evolution, and then analyzes the reasons for its evolution. The article will also analyze and generalize the characteristics and influence of Soviet policy towards China, thus sum up the lessons from which Chinese diplomacy can learn in the new era. |
