Analysis Of Thesis Topic Selection For Masters Degree Graduates Majored In Law Theory At SWUPL In 1982-2008

As a discipline ,the discipline of law has had a history of many years. In this process, the discipline of law has been growing to be mature and complete, mainly due to the law education. Southwest University of Political Science and Law, which has the name of Huangpu in law education, always emphasizes the discipline of law theory. This can be shown in its teaching philosophy as well as its system establishment. At this university, the complete discipline system including undergraduate, master and doctor degrees has formed.At the time of the 30^th anniversary of law-governing, the process of Chinese law-governing is worth reflecting. But, we should not neglect the contribution of SWUPL to the new Chinese law-governing. Its successful experience in promoting the law education should be generalized; the topic selection of thesis for academic degrees should definitely be included. Starting with the knowledge, this paper will focus on the topic selection of law theory thesis for masters' degrees at SWUPL in 1982-2008 periods. And this paper will also track the process of masters' education in law theory.From 1982 to 2008, there are 290 thesis for master degrees which has had oral defense at SWUPL. It is not so easy to analyze the total number of these thesis. To enhance the efficiency, the research methods of type analysis, knowledge sociology and history research method are applied.The paper can be divided into seven parts according to the former methods,The first part is the preface. The goal and methods of writing are introduced through the argumentation of summary and importance of topic selection.The second part simply introduces the research methods of this paper.The third part is the research on Marxism law thoughts. The situation of research on Marxism law thoughts at SWUPL and comment on the research are expounded.The forth part is the exposition of classics and law thoughts of law masters. The author wants to make it clear the research situations of topic selectors on the law thoughts. Comment is also conducted.The fifth part is mainly the analysis and research on selected topics of basic law questions, which include ontology of law, the value of law and others oriented from law.The sixth part is the analysis of law-governing process. It is mainly about the function and utility of law in society. This research shows that the author has transformed from the research of law on paper to the research on live law in society.The seventh part is the conclusion. Based on the analysis of thesis for master degrees graduates majored in law theory, the author tries to point out the basic train of thoughts, value judgment and thinking direction.In summary, there is no value judgment and comment on the contents of these thesis in this paper. There is only the basic narration and analysis of the selected topics. It is hoped that this paper can provide some useful experience for topic selection of law theory major in the future.
