On The Left The Situation Of Women And Improving The Survival Strategy

With the implementation of opening and reformation policy, the rural surplus labor force begins to transfer from the countryside to the city on a large scale. In most cases, husbands become the first option among the choices of going out to work. Thus, a unique rear women group appears in the countryside of our country. It is reported that the number of the present rear women in our country has amounted to 40-50 million or so. Rear women have to take the responsibilities of farming, doing housework, cultivating children and supporting parents, confronting three pressures: high working intensity, heavy mental burden and rare security sense. It has begun to catch more and more attention from society and turned into an urgent issue waiting for solving that how people make the rear women walk out of the current predicament. How does the government solve the problems and troubles which the rear women encounter and what helps should the social policy tend to offer? Answers to these questions remain to be vague. The ignorance of the rear women problems has not only violated the principle of social justice but also done harm to the social harmonious development when it is considered from the perspectives of social development, men and women's relationship and cultural perfection. In view of this situation, the author of this paper takes Xupu County as a study case, adheres to the guidance under basic national policy such as Marxism views on women and equality between the sexes, elaborately collects materials of type groups and typical cases through consulting related materials and adopting methods of questionnaire, and focuses on the study on existing problems in rural women's existence and development in the countryside through differentiating the study objects according to staying-behind time, cultural levels, the economic conditions of the rear family, and synthesizing all the indexes to make an objective and scientific evaluation on rear women phenomena, putting forward some countermeasures of promoting the coordination between rural women and economic and social development so as to push the harmonious development of countryside society.This research proposes that as a common social phenomenon, rear woman is a historical definition. This phenomenon comes together with the economic tide brought by opening and reformation policy. It is a special social phenomenon which our country experiences during the process of transition from a comparatively backward traditional agricultural society to an advanced industry country. It is a product of less developed family individual economy and national economy and the result of imperfect social system. Therefore, rear women in the countryside not only exist at present and will linger on for a long time in the future. However, with the speedy development of our country's economy and the incessant consummation of our social system, the rear woman, an ordinary social phenomenon, it will gradually weaken until it disappears in the end.
