The governance capability is a permanent task of the Communist Party of China. The Sixteenth Congress has started a new period of the governance capability and the Party has made great achievements both in theory and practice. The purpose of this thesis is to research, analyze, and sum up the governance capability of the Party since the Sixteenth Congress, based on which the direction and route for further strengthening of the Party's governance capability will be put forward, with the hope of offering some help for the Party building.The research method taken in this thesis is the combination of theory and practice. Four parts can be found in the thesis. In Partâ… , with a brief review of the governance capability of the Party, the idea that the governance capability is a permanent task of the Party is emphasized. In Partâ…¡, the practice and achievements of the governance capability in five aspects of the Party since the Sixteenth Congress is studied and its features are analyzed. In Partâ…¢, the theoretical innovation of the governance capability since the Sixteenth Congress is summed up and its historical status is analyzed. In Partâ…£, the three directions and two routes for strengthening the governance capability under the new condition are pointed out.The main achievements of this thesis lie in as follow: first, some rational opinions are formed through the summarization of the process and achievements of the governance capability in this period; second, three directions of the governance capability are put forward; third, this thesis points out that the route of the Party building should be based upon the self-building and governance system of the Party.
