| [BACKGROUND]Based on the development and popularization of internet,more and more men who have sex with men(MSM) come to the homosexual website which is a platform for them to contact online,to look for sex partners.However,internet has a greater and more instantaneous reach to facilitate encounters that result in sexual activity,which may translate into faster,easier,and more efficient transmission of disease and STD/AIDS infection.As the spreading of disease,it's necessary to develop STD/AIDS health education and risk reduction for those MSM who seek sex online. Fortunately,internet is a two-side sword,it also provide another new way for the STD/AIDS health education and disease control.Just as it reported by scientists from developed conturies,the internet-based health intervention and risk reduction is uegent,technically available,and friendly recepted by MSM.Nevertheless,in China, the general study focusing on the internet-based health function for MSM is absence, which has very important guidabel action and referenced value for the fresh underway internet-based STD/AIDS health intervention.[OBJECTIVE]To study the situation of homosexual website in China and its STD/AIDS health intervention for MSM,as a result to provide basic imformation,evidence analysis, concept framework and decision-making advice for the future internet-based STD/AIDS disease control and health education among MSM.[DATAAND METHODS]1,Homosexual website:professional investigator filled in questionnaires study at the situation and health intervention function of Chinese homosexual website,after observed homo-websites online;2,Principals of website:held personal deep interview with them,when the traffic is discommodious,interview turn to internet-based;3,MSM:web-based cross-sectional study on MSM popution,recruiting partincipants by convenient sampling and collecting data by quantitative method.[RESULT]1,After searching and super linking,112 Chinese homosexual websites were validate, and the number of the homosexual websites in China mainland is estimated from 112 between 160.These websites provide prominent service in the aspects of online intercourse,and intercourse relative information,which will make MSM seeking for sex partners more efficient.2,About 3/4 websites have developped internet-based STD/AIDS intervention,which is list as following:①STD/AIDS health relative news or information is issued by text form on web page;②STD/AIDS health relative news or information is issued by mutimedia form;③banner advertisement or super link of health website;④web-based health survey;⑤internet-based propagandistic by MSM peer,to transmit health knowledge and belief;⑥medical or sanitation institution use the internet to develop the STD/AIDS disease prevention and control.Thereinto,health information transmitted by text form on webpage and peers is most familiar.The obstacle to intervention includes the following aspects:negative attitude of website principal; being short of human resource and finance for intervention;bad relationship among MSM communities;and absence of academic guidance and political support.3,A total of 2304 eligible MSM participants came from all 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China and abroad.91.1%of them aged below 40 yrs,and the age median was 26 years,and 68.5%graduated from colleges and above,and 29.8%was student,and over 40%use internet for more than 14 hours a week.Their awareness percent of STD/AIDS from 76.3%to 82.0%,some MSM showed afraid and discriminative attitude toward the carriers and patients of AIDS. The weakness of MSM's health knowledge:some of them didn't clear wheather HIV transmit though "oral intercourse" and "midge",besides,some MSM hold wrong understanding of defending measure of STD/AIDS.[SUGGESTION]We propose the following suggestion from three aspects:health intervenor, material of intervention and the social circumstances.1,The principals of websites should be trained to improve their STD/AIDS knowledge,health education attitude and skills,in order to be competent for internet-based health intervention responsibility.2,The content of internet-based STD/AIDS intervention should focus on the weakness of MSM internet users,such as whether HIV transmitted though "oral intercourse" and "midge",and their wrong understanding of STD/AIDS defending measures.And the dread and discrimination of AIDS among MSM internet users should be emphasized to eliminate to create more tolerant and loose environment for health promotion.Formally,peer communication should be given priority,and the automatic,interactive intervention program which is target to MSM individuals should be designed as soon as possible by using developed countriy's experience for reference.3,We should impel the government to establish policy which is on speaking terms of STD/AIDS prevention among MSM to encourage and give financially guarantee to the internet-based intervention for MSM.
