An Analysis Of Civil Society And Its Practical Significance

Civil society is a typical Western-style concept, and it is also a historical category. In different stages of the West historical development, it has different meanings. Although China does not have the Western historical and cultural traditions, to build a harmonious socialist society, it is necessary to quote from the public and social theory from the reality and the unique conditions of China and discuss its theoretical value of both freedom and order, fairness and efficiency of China's socialist harmonious society construction. In this paper, in addition to organize and summarize the civil society, the author also for the focus of China's own actual conditions and practical issues from the economic, political and cultural perspectives to find out the interfaces between community and the harmonious socialist society, in order to make this western historical experience, which has a great academic significance of the theory be useful to discuss China's social developmental issues.This paper is divided into three sections: the first part mainly to the historical study of civil social theory. Through the analysis of Hegel's theory of civil society: the separation between civil society and political state, the community decided to countries in the political structure of the theory, as a result, the theory conducted a thorough upset to traditional thinking of civil society (classical and modern social liberalism of civil society thinking). The second part elaborates the reconstruction and reproduction of civil socity. Marx has absorbed the reasonable elements of Hegel's theory to correct its shortcomings, make an inheritance and a critique of the civil society thinking of Hegel. At last, Marx redefined the concept of civil society, so as to correctly handle the relationship between state and society specified and laid the foundation for the Marxist historical materialism. The third part is mainly about the practical significience for building a socialist harmonious society. First of all, it is conducive to improving the socialist market economic system so as to achieve economic modernization and second, it is conducive to strengthening the building of socialist democracy and the rule of law to maintain social stability; third, to coordinate the interests of all parties to maintain social fairness and justice; Fourth, it will help strengthen the building of advanced culture, carry forward the spirit of the public, to provide spiritual support for the social harmony; fifth, it is conducive to the development of social organizations, and strengthen community capacity for self-government; sixth, it is conducive to achieving harmony and freedom, all-round development for one person.
