| Minors are the future builders of our motherland, successors of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, and their ideological status has something to do with the future and destiny ofour party, our country, and our nation. At present, there are about 367 million minors in China,accounting for 28 percent of the total population, the mainstream of their ideological status isgood.As the constant expansion of China's reform and opening up and in-depth developmentof the market economy, international hostile forces use various ways to infiltrate our minorsdecadent and dying ways of life, and ugly ideology and culture; in certain areas at home thereis moral loss, values distorted, and decadent lifestyle, which corrode minors'soul. Ourminors'ideological and moral status present as follow: disagreement between words andaction, obvious tendency of reality, lack of lofty ideals, weaker psychological ability, selfcenteredand other defects. In China's ideological and moral construction, there are still manyaspects that can not meet the building of a harmonious socialist society and weak links thatneed to be strengthened urgently. Hence, strengthening and improving China's ideologicaland moral construction is imperative.Through the enquiries of network, library and calls on relevant experts and scholars, indepthinvestigation in schools, the ideological and moral status of minors have beeninvestigated and the wealthy information and data collected have been analyzed andrearranged, which conclusions can be drawn from that in Chinese minors'ideological andmoral construction there still exist target dimensions biased, vacancy of social environment,lack of family education and education coordinating efforts. The main reasons for these are:traditional cultural values shackling ideological pluralism, one-sided pursuit of intellectualcompetition under the guide of the College Entrance Examination, parents lacking concept offamily education, knowledge and methods. Such family education can not meet the need ofsocial development. Meanwhile, the idea of education being foundamental and moraleducation coming first underlines the lack of education, and the cognition principle out ofreality has been excessively emphasized. In the spirit of seeking truth and the principle oflinking theory with reality, strengthening and improving ideological and moral constructionmust require that our party and government administrative institutions, education sectors andthe community of all units should have a unified understanding, make concerted efforts, playtheir own duties, and coordinate together to form a correct guidance of public opinion,construct service mechanisms and intensify supervision and management, clean up theeducation environment, found parents school so that parents'educational concept and educational methods can be updated, then family education will improve, education networkof school education, family education, and social education will be built effectively, moralstrength can be integrated. If the dominant position of minors is truly established, everythingshould start with the trivial, changing criteria for experience, in order to resolve ideologicaland moral construction problems, and work out feasible ways. Only constantly cultivatingsocialist successors, builders for the future of our motherland with patriotism, lofty ambitions,civilized behavior, and comprehensive development, can impel the process of buildingsocialism with Chinese characteristics. |
