A Studies Of Liangshuming's Rural Construcation Ideology

Liang Shuming,the famous scholar,thinker and public figure in the modem history of China,made a seven-year rural development experiment in Zoupin County of Shandong Province.This well-known rural development activity is of great realistic importance to the present rural modernization,especially to the building of the new countryside.Liang Shuming's rural development activity showed his philosophical cultural thinking.The unique Chinese and Western cultural sense was the logical point of his rural development,so the rural activity was actually a cultural revival which mainly included the following 4 aspects:the culture construction,the culture construction,the education and social reformation.In our present efforts of building the new socialism countryside,we can get some new enlightenment from Liang Shuming's rural development activity,although it wasn't successful at that time.Firstly,we should thoroughly tap the intellectual wealth from the traditional culture in the new rural development.The moral principles and harmonious ideas contained in Liang Shuming's thinking should be advocated to reach our aim of remolding the society and the nation through remolding farmers and the rural areas. Secondly,We should establish the principal position of farmers in the new rural development.Thirdly,we should lay stress on the function of education in the new rural development,especially the importance of vocational education to the rural area and its agriculture.Fourthly,we should establish the market economic position of farmers,leading and organizing them to follow the cooperative way.We should study and apply Liang Shuming's idea of "Agriculture initiates industry,and agriculture and industry promote mutually" to let farmers enjoy the achievements of industry development and economic growth to accomplish the sustained development of the national economy.
