Under the background that aging intensifies at present, the family structure changes, the problem of empty-nest old person is prominent, the home cares for the aged has the difficulty, In order to discuss whether the institution-supported-the aged is suitable for the elderly, this article researches the life satisfaction of the elderly in the institution-supported-the aged.Life satisfaction refers to subjective satisfaction when individual's needs and aspirations are met. It can serve as one of the important indicator of the quality of life of the elderly as an important, and one of the important factors to measure mental health of the elderly. In this paper the author put life satisfaction as an important factor to measure whether the institution-supported-the aged is suitable for the elderly.The subject of investigation of this article is Yilecun institution-supported-the aged and Yilefuli institution-supported-the aged. Methods are observation, interviews, data analysis.The author spent one year to investigate this two institution-supported-the aged to collect date, observe and interview. The author has collected the register information of 298 elderly in Yilecun institution-supported-the aged and does the analysis, reached a number of dimensions of the data. The author takes overall satisfaction survey to 298 elderly and takes observation of building and facilities, management system, living condition of the elderly, and found that social support factors including hardware and software support of institution-supported-the aged, support from other elderly, support from the orderly's children, support from nursing staff have great impact on life satisfaction of the elderly. And the author conducted a survey and analysis of these four dimensions. And through the interviews with the elderly and their families, the author found that life satisfaction of the elderly is not fixed, is a process of gradual improvement, and cognitive changes can improve life satisfaction.Subjects are Chengdu city's two institutions-supported-the aged, Yilecun institution-supported-the aged and Yilefuli institution-supported-the. aged, Methods is mainly participant observation, in-depth interviews, data analysis. Especially take depth interviews with Wu Jun - president of Yilecun institution-supported-the aged.After investigation and research, the author found that overall life satisfaction of the elderly in institution-supported-the aged is high. Social support has big impact on the life satisfaction of the elderly in institution-supported-the aged. The author investigation and research institution-supported-the aged according to the network of social support. Life satisfaction of the elderly experienced a process from obedience to assimilation to Internalization. Change the traditional cognition or introducing new cognitive factor can improve the life satisfaction of the elderly. institution-supported-the aged have taken a positive role in improving life satisfaction of the elderly, but further exploring is needed to improve the life satisfaction of elderly still need to keep.
