| This article aimed at providing beneficial support to draw up a new domestic law and convention, as well, on international multimodal transport by analyzing the legal liabilities among the parties involved in the multimodal transport. In order to fulfill the research purposes above-mentioned, this article was composed of six parts:1. defining the content of international multimodal transportation and the three main parties involved in the process;2. recalling and comparing the two models, that is, model laws and treaties in the past legislation of the liabilities in multimodal transport;3. arguing the multimodal transport operator's limited liability in the contractual parties relationship;4. arguing the section operater's liability when he was sued by the multimodal transport operator;5. analyzing the liability undertaken by the section opertator when he was sued by the consignor;6.analyzing the domestic legislative situation on the internaltional multimodal transport, pointing out some defects of the present situation and putting forward some advice on amending those legislations. |
