Deng Xiaoping's Common Prosperity Thought And Constructing The Harmonious Society

Common prosperity is the long-term objective of many people pursuit for thousands and hundreds of years, and which is the basic benefits of the most people in China. Through the reform and opening-up, overall national strength of our country has been enhanced obviously and living standard of the people has been improved notably. At the same time however,the gradually enlargement of the gap between the rich and the poor and various kinds of benefits contradictions were obvious day by day. Common prosperity theory was facing an acid test. It destructs the steady of society and hinders its advance. The mission to construct the socialist harmonious society is put forward by our Party to deal with the contradictions and problems in social development. It is the course of realizing the common prosperity to construct the social harmony.Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity thought is based on the excellent ideological legacy of Chinese nation. It is a criticism of utopian socialism thought and a development of Marxism Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought under the new historical condition in China.According to the relevant work of Deng Xiaoping, I discuss the comprehensive connotation of Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity thought in detail from five aspects. The common prosperity includes material life, political life and cultural life. The common prosperity not only negates poverty, also negates ignorance and disorder. As a principle guiding the constructing of the social harmony, the common prosperity is also the essence and goal of the social harmony. It is dialectical unity to construct the social harmony and realize the common prosperity.Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping's common prosperity thought, the problems, such as gradual enlargement of the gap between the rich and the poor, crisis of Marxism faith and ethical morals disorder, have been analyzed. Besides, the countermeasures to achieve common prosperity and social harmony have been proposed from aspects ,such as economic, politics and culture.
