On The Influence Of Science And Technology For Chinese Stratification

Since reform and open, with the econimiccal and political reformation Chinese social class and rank structure has been changed greatly and then the phenomenon of social stratification emerged. Social stratification is the result of several factors'interreaction. This article discussed the influence of science and teconology's development on social stratification. Science and teconology's development aggravate social stratification and accelerate social ranks'change and spur new social ranks emerge.This article is divided into five chapters to discuss the related question of the influence of science and teconology's development on social stratification.The first chapter introduces the study of this problem home and aboard.The chapter summarized classic representive figures and theories of social stratification,especially for the state of chinese social stratification of scholars home and aboard. Chinese scholars pay more attention to two aspects of Chinese social stratification. The one is transition system of Chinese social structure and the change of rank's structure. The other is the study of new ranks since reform.The second chapter states the relative concepts. The chapter analysed two important concepts of the study of social stratification,class and stratum. In addtion to, the chapter presented the standards of stratum and definition of social stratification.In the third chapter the author discuss the inflenuce of science and teconology's development on social all ranks carefully. The chapter analysed the influence of development of science and technology for old structure of rank,included workers ,farmers and intellectuals.In the forth chapter introduced the influence of scienceand teconology's development on social vulnerable groups and formidable groups. The chapter introduced which ranks has been produced by the development of science and tecnology and which influences for those ranks. The author divided the ranks into formidable groups and social vulnerable groups by political economic and social status.The last chapter introduced how to solve the problem of social stratification by science and technology and defended social justice the benefits of social vulnerable groups and social harmony.
