China and Vietnam have close relations for more than 2000 years. China has vital impact on Vietnam due to the specific history, culture and geography, but the inter-relation between the two countries experienced a worsened period from late 1970's to earlier 1990. The relation was normalized and developed a lot soon after the Cold War. In the political field, leaders of the two sides have exchanged visits frequently and build up various mechanism and channels to strengthen mutual-understandings, which promotes the comparatively stable politics basis; in the aspect of economic cooperation, the bilateral trade has been rapidly expanded, the interdependence has been deepened more and more, and the economical relation has become the important foundation to ensure the stable and healthy development of the two countries. During the 16-year recovery period, the interrelation between the two countries transferred from good-neighborly relation to comprehensive cooperation, and the friendly relation clearly indicated the basic benefits of the two peoples.This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter introduces the progress of Sino-Vietnamese political relations before the Cold War and elaborates the historical background,cause,process and the main features of the Sino-Vietnamese political relations during the Cold War. The second chapter briefly reviews the Sino-Vietnamese economical relations before the Cold War and emphasizes on the cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, labor and project contractor and tourism. In the third chapter, the author analyzes the measures and significance of the expansion on political and economical relations between China and Vietnam, and lastly, the Sino-Vietnamese relations are summarized. |
