Since socialist reform and opening up in the eighties of the 20th century, the development of the society in China has changed in many new aspects. Moral education confronts the new opportunities, but it also faces new challenges. The social environment, international environment and people under moral education that moral education faces have undergone tremendous changes, for the original moral education has not yet satisfied the new changes.Research on the changes of moral education is based on the background of social transformation through moral reflection of the traditional problems. It points out contradictions and problems between the traditional moral education and modern social changes and development; in this cue, it also discusses the construction of modern moral education. The full text consists of three parts:In the first part, it introduces the foundation and value system of the social reality of moral transformation. This part mainly analyzes the reconstruction of modern society arising from the changes in the social structure: social structure changes from the field of integration into relatively isolated areas; besides, individual and the society are relatively isolated. Consequently, the elements of moral sense, individual and community values occurs displacements.In the second part, the major contradiction that the moral education comes across is revealed. Contemporary moral education faces many contradictions, such as the contradiction between the standard moral education and the objective education; the contradiction between the coherent thinking and values of pluralism, the current conflicts between the political moral education and moral life, which are the main problems and contradictions of the current moral education.In the third part, it concentrates on expounding the issue of the people-oriented construction of modern moral education. Main points are as fellows: the people-oriented modern moral theory should be established; the principle of putting people in the central place should be applied and implemented in the practice of current moral education; modern moral education should enhance the cultural content.
