Research On The Victim-offender Reconciliation System

Victim-Offender Reconciliation(VOR,abr) is a kind of new criminal thought which originates from the western countries. It means that the victim and the offender negotiate to solve the criminal case after a crime happens with the help of the mediator,in order to renew the social relations destroyed by the offender to normal, and has the offender correct his errors, make a fresh start and return to society. VOR is an creative system on depenalization, protection of victims and the socialization of perpetrators. It is a criminal protective policy for restoration to the victims and a substitutable means to the criminals.As a trend to solve the criminal disputes in recent years, it has arised the attentin of the researchers. Its concepts have been accepted and widely practised by many countries and regions in the world. At present, the criminal rate increased sharply in the transitional period of China's economy, it posed a challenge to the mode and efficiency of traditional litigation, So there is a great theoretical and practical meaning to reseach the system for development of current criminal litigation system.This thesis uses historical reseach method and valuable analysis method, investigates the system from mult-disciplinary angles that conbines such as criminal law,criminology,criminal litigation law,etc.Put forward the basic assumptions though using the experiences from abord and analysis the necessity and feasibility of constucting the system.This paper includes four...
