After the Soviet Union collapsed, its member states, such as Kazakhstan, Kyrghyz, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in central Asia became independent republics. As a result, the long-suppressed contradictions of ethnics and religions in the region burst out and deteriorate, so that they finally combine with international terrorism and boldly challenge the national regime. At present, terrorism has severely done harm to stability and development of central Asia.First, by analyzing several fundamental problems, such as terrorist origin, characteristics and hazard in central Asia, it can be concluded that this type of terrorism stemmed from historical pan-Islamism, pan-Turkistan, Iran Islamic revolution and Afghanistan civil war, and it gradually expands and spreads during the five nations'transition period. The most generally-accepted terrorist organizations in the area are Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Hizb-ut-tahrir and Islamic Movement of Eastern Turkistan. These saboteurs have threatened, but in fact, have endangered many respects of the local nations, such as politics, economy, culture and society and so on.Second, emergence of the local terrorism is not an occasional phenomenon, to some extent, it can be regarded, as well, as the product of mixed factors of all kinds concerning ethnics, religions, economy and super-powers struggle etc. So, it can't be solved and eliminated in short term. At the same time, according to the research of the terrorism's source, forecast of its tendency is properly made.
