Research On The Regulation Of Standard Form Contracts

By the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th century,accompanying the development of the society and economy, in order to adjust to the changes of a mass of dealings in modern society, a new method of forming a contract came into being.They are different from traditional contracts what has been used in the past, which forms a contract by standard items. Today the daily lives of people have connections with them almost all the time. Standard form contracts have many distinct features and advantages in contrast to other contracts.Nevertheless,the wide usages have shown a series of problems.So,how to regulate the standard form contracts,develop their advantages and overcome their disadvantages has led to the concerns all over the world.This article begins from the concept,characteristics, fea-tures,advantages and disadvantages of standard form contracts.Then after it analyses the conflicts of values in standard form contracts,it figures out the theoristic reason of how to regulate them.On the basis of studying the foreign laws and legal practices,it analyses the mode of regulating the standard form contracts.At the end,it proposes the ideas of regulation system of standard form contract on the basis of all the above theories.
