The Research Of The Development And Exploitation Of The Characteristic Agricultural Resources In The Backward Valley Of Wujiang River

Development of the West Regions and the immigrants from the Three Gorges mean challenges to the people of Chongqing as well as chances. It is significant to seize this opportunity to take advantage of each region's own resources to promote the improvement of local productivity and the development of local economy. Also it is key to improving the degree of local agricultural marketization and speeding up the step of local industrialization. Under the direction of the theories of the Agricultural Resource Study, Characteristic Agriculture Economics, this thesis mainly focuses on how to develop characteristic agricultural resources of the 6 regions under the administration of Chongqing Government, by which the Wujiang River flows. The 6 regions, Nanchuan, Fuling, Qianjiang, Wulong, Youyang and Pengshui, lies in the backward valley of Wujiang River. All these regions belong to the Zoology Economical Zone of the Three Gorges except that Nanchuan is in the Yuxi Economical Aisle. With the investigation and information of agricultural resource gift and characteristics of the 6 regions, the status quo of the development of the agricultural resources of the 6 counties(cities) are examined. Then comparative analysis is used to calculate the comparative advantage coefficients against Chongqing and the constraints that restrict the development of the agricultural resources of the 6 regions are analyzed. Finally the solutions to the development of the characteristic agricultural resources are brought up.
