The Study On The Issue Of Maritime Crimes And Criminal Jurisdiction

On the basis of introducing the definition of maritime crimes, this paper puts forward the principles of determining the scope of maritime crimes, analyses the types and characteristics of maritime crimes; and puts forward the requisites to constitute a crime of piracy in international conventions, and appeals for making international conventions relating to punish the crime of maritime fraud; This paper also gives the proposals for further perfecting the existing laws of punishing maritime crimes in China; It also gives the principles which should be insisted in respect of determining the jurisdiction of international and regional maritime crimes.
