Study On Technical Barriers To Trade For Korla Fragrant Pear Exporting To EU

With the rapidly developing of world trade liberalization and economic integration , the level of tariff is substantially reduced in many countries. This is a very good opportunity to develop international trade. However, the developed countries want to protect themselves interests and use some no-tariff barrier measures to restrict goods exporting of the developing countries. Among them, technical barriers to trade is becoming a serious barrier to hinder the world trade liberalization, because it has rationality in name , legality in form, flexibility ,concealment and complication in use. The paper has introduced the foundation of WTO and TBT agreement at the first, and then clearly expounded generating and developing of TBT. The paper has mainly set forth TBT of EU, especially EU technical regulations and technical standards. EU is the highest development of regional economic integration in the world. EU is also the developed region of market economic and become a very big and potential market to the developing countries. With the deepen of Sino-EU relation, EU has become the very important trade partner of China. So the paper makes a thorough and carefully study about EU economic and consumer market. In the end, the paper makes a deep analysis of fragrant pear's competitive advantage and disadvantage in the light of fragrant pear exporting to EU. Then the paper makes the conclusion. If we want Korla fragrant pear to open the gate of EU and break its serious and complicate TBT, we should adjust from two aspects which one is standardization of production and management, another is carrying out green fruit industrialization.
