Research On Integrated Product Development And Application In HW Company

IPD (Integrated Product Development) is a latest R&D management mode which has been paid more and more attention in the high-tech industries all over the world in recent years. Through IPD, the procedure could be established based on market and customer requirement, and IPD look product development as an investment management, which make the new product development more effectively and faster, gain quick reactance to the market, at the same time cut the development cost, enhanced product's stability, producibility and maintainability. The studying and using the IPD mode is not a duplicate procedure, it need adjustment according to the difference between each company's practical situation, but the key procedure are similar, people must follow the whole theory architecture and procedure. At the same time, some dedicated procedure development was required after mastering the key point of IPD theory. This article will study the IPD mode based on the cases in company HW, hope to exploit some new ideal and method of new product development to improve enterprise's product development ability which most suitable for Chinese company. This article will be organized to six chapters in four main sections. The first section focus on the development history and its application future of the IPD. The second section will study the IPD theory system and its architecture through integration and modularization. Among them we'll focus on multi-department team, structure procedure, project management and pipeline management, asynchronous development, common building block and $APPEALS. In the third part, we'll use the practical case in HW company as study model, introduce how the IPD get into HW company and research on development flow, decision evaluation procedure, the main activities in each phase and technically evaluation. The fourth section will analyze and summarize the key point related the IPD implementation in the enterprise, and point out that the keys to the IPD success lies in reform management, team-based management, financial management and project management.
