Study On Comparing Tourism Development Of Eight Big Ancient Capital In China

The appearance and development of city is the symbol of the progress of social civilization. The hundred and thousands years old city—ancient capitals have the advantage of tourism. Because they mostly keep integrated historical style or national characteristic of a certain time or several periods, can refract out the situation in such a great deal of respects as the polity, culture, economy and military affairs, etc. of certain time and certain place, demonstrate very strong historical characteristic character, cultural continuity and human intension.At the mean time, since modern tourism was born, enormous changes have been taken in the tourism form and connotation along the society developing. More and more people gradually prefer cultural tourism in the need of widening experience, increasing knowledge and self-perfecting to individual sightseeing in the past.According to the statistical data, ancient capital has become the main distributing center and consuming center of domestic and international tourists, so it is playing a more and more important role in the development of tourism in China.Up to now, a majority of ancient capitals in China have become the hot spot of tourism development, obtained large economic and society benefit. Meanwhile, great regional differences have occurred in ancient capital as a result of different tourism recourse, developing condition, etc. This paper firstly introduces the ancient capital tourism (Ancient capital tourism is abbreviated to ACT in this paper) research actuality, characteristic and theoretical foundation; then adopts principal component and AHP method to analyze its developing actuality and competitiveness respectively.This paper consists six parts, including preface and conclusions.Part one is foreword. It briefly introduces the ACT research actuality, necessary, approach. From above research, we can draw a conclusion that the comparison study of ancient capital in very necessary.The second part summarizes the concept, characteristic, and type, indicates the tourism advantage of ancient capitals, and thinks that tourism is the effective method to develop and protect ancient capitals.In the third part, the paper mainly introduces the theoretical foundation of ACT. This paper summarizes the theory about ACT developing in the aspects of tourism science, economics and ancient capital developing theory.In the forth part, the author expatiates the ACT developing actuality, then analyze the ACT in two aspects: Achievement and question.The fifth part is one of core of this paper. In this part, the paper adopts principal component approach to analyze ACT actuality, find the main influencing factors. Through analyzing, we can know that Beijing is the best of eight big ACT, but the four in Henan province are not good as the others, then draw a conclusion that tourism resources is the foremost influencing factor.The sixth part is appraisal analysis of ACT competitiveness, and also the emphases of the paper. The ACT development is not only lying on the actuality, but also should pay more attention to the tourism potentiality. According to certain principle, the author sets up an index system of appraising the competitiveness about ACT, and appraises the competitiveness of eight big ACT by using AHP method.In the seventh part, the author proposes the developing countermeasures of Chinese ACT on the basis of analysis of above.The last part is the epilogue. It summarizes the innovations and shortages in this paper.Because of the constraint of time, energy and ability, the paper must be exit a lot of careless omission and mistakes in structure system and content, and expect everybody to forgive, generously criticize and instruct.
