Since the reform and opening, floriculture and nursery industry of china develops rapidly, and becomes the important "rising industry". More and more people invest in the floriculture and nursery industry. Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry has formed its own features in the process of development, and grows into one of the main producing area. But in recent years, with the policy modulation of China, the floriculture and nursery industry in China faced some problems, so it's important to summarize and think again according to the Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry, in order to give some good advice on the reasonable planning of Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry.From August 2003 to May 2005, based on the analysis about the detailed data that published in the Newspaper of the China Floriculture in recent 20 years, the author of this paper have done many investigations during the International Floriculture Exhibition of China, the Nursery Trade Exhibition of China, the flower exhibition of Xiaoshan in Zhejiang province and so on, exposing the floriculture and nursery industry of China and prospect its development in the future; taking a whole investigation of the Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry, especially the main floriculture area, such as Hangzhou, Shaoxing and Jinhua, describing the production status, production distribution, operation status, product structure, circulation system and other aspects of Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry; visiting some leading enterprises and growers of Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry, and analyzes their production structure, scale, facility, marketing orientation, pricing strategy, marketing status and so on; based on the studying of floriculture and nursery industry's developing modes in foreign countries, and analyzes the application of the industry cluster theory in the floriculture and nursery industry of Netherlands and Yunnan province of China, putting forward the strategies of flori-industry cluster in China.Finally, the author summarizes the develop status and existing problems in Zhejiang floriculture and nursery industry, and give some good advise on its development in the future.
